BENEFITS:
The SLP is classified as a passive self-ligating bracket. This means that even when using a round or rectangular wire, its locking mechanism does not press the wire, thus reducing friction. However, its claws allow the use of ligature normally, inserting friction if desired. This makes it possible to control when and on which teeth the attrition will be applied. The passive self-ligating bracket also allows for low friction during the period of use of rectangular wires, when space closure is performed.
